Masters of Death is a Quest in Diablo Immortal. Quests refer to objectives and tasks that are tied to game progression. Masters of Death is one of the Main Quests in Ashwold Cemetery. Main Quests drive the narrative forward and require completion in order to advance in the Main Campaign. They are done in sequential order from zone to zone and cannot be skipped.
The task is done. All that remains is to join Xul at the manor and confront his rogue apprentice.
Masters of Death Quest Information
Masters of Death is the seventh and penultimate quest in the Ashwold Cemetery Storyline. It follows directly after Into Ashwold Manor and leads to the Battle for the Shard quest upon completion.
This quest concerns Lethes's attempts to claim the soul of King Leoric and involves delving into the game's first dungeon, the Mad King's Breach.

Masters of Death Walkthrough
After destroying the Death Rituals, make your way towards the manor courtyard's center where you will come across another cutscene with Xul and Lethes. Lethes performs a ritual with the Queen's casket, attempting to resurrect the soul of the King Leoric and use it to claim dominion over the Undead. As the ritual proceeds, Lethes will create a Simulacrum of herself to fight you. The fight works much like a bullet hell shooter with the Simulacrum throwing plenty of projectiles at you in various, tight formations. Defeating the boss interrupts the ritual but the rift Lethes had opened is drawing strength from Leoric's essence. Speak to Xul as he attempts to prevent the rift from fully opening and he will instruct you to enter the Mad King's Breach to sever Leoric's ties to the rift.
Mad King's Breach is the first dungeon of the game and you can enter using the portal by the main manor building's entrance. From the dungeon menu, you will be able to queue for Matchmaking to run the dungeon with other players. Your objective is to kill Leoric, The Skeleton King, the dungeon's main boss. Completing the dungeon and taking the Portal back outside completes the quest and begins the next one: Battle for the Shard.

- After defeating Lethes's Simulacrum and speaking with Xul, you will unlock the Battle Pass feature.
