Wizard is a playable class in Diablo Immortal, Hailing from Xiansai, this Wizard is haughty, stylish, sassy, powerful, and maybe a little vain, uncaring of the risks she undertakes in using her magic. With few exceptions, wizard attacks are conducted at a distance, away from danger. As living artillery, wizards are well suited to relying on long-range destructive power. On this page, you can find information about all the skills of Wizard in Diablo Immortal, as well as their strategy, lore, and useful builds.

Renegade spellcasters who channel channel arcane energy into powerful combinations of magic that manipulate and destroy their foes.

Wizard Information

The Wizard class is well known to able to control the combat space and have the ability to manage the flow of the battle with their many unique magical abilities and ranged attacks. They are great when going against hordes of charging enemies and opponents and can clear them with their ranged magic. Each of their skills and special spells have their own unique effects and attacks that can be used in a number of situations. These effects range from the ability deal explosive AoE, projectiles, warping time, wind blasts, fire, frost, ice, energy, lightning, meteor strikes and summoning black holes and barriers that can be used and swapped out depending on your playstyle and preference. Barriers and time warping can be used in a defensive play while other projectiles and blasts are used more aggressively if the Wizard is used as offense.

Their wide variety of effects and elements give the player the flexibility to choose or learn how they want to play the wizard, which also gives them the flexibility to complement many other Classes when playing in a party and as a solo player. Their great set of skills and attacks come at a price though, with longer cooldown periods and a downtime that may force the wizard to reposition in between strikes. This requires players that use the wizard to be aware of their own positioning and enemy positions at all times for successful attacks and evasion when needed.

Overall all the wizard makes a great asset to a team filling a flexible role or assisting with the flow of incoming enemies with the abilities to manipulate time, freeze them to slow them down and deal additional damage over time. As they control the battle, other classes can come in as the aggressors while the wizard's magic is in effect. Classes like the Barbarian will be a good team player with the Wizard since their ability to hold off large groups of enemies and reliance on raw damage can hold them in one main position, allowing the Wizard to approach at another angle and deal their own set of skill keeping the tension away from the less tanky Wizard. Since the Wizard specializes in Ranged combat, other melee users will also balance a team out. Other than the Barbarian, the Monk can be considered as another class that focuses Melee and Physical combat. One class that might add to the dynamic energy of the Wizard is the Crusader which will help cover other angles of combat with their swift movement speed while they are on their steed. As the Wizard holds down their position, the Crusader can be used to take the outer perimeter during combat and come in with their own set of AoE attacks.

Wizard Class Primary Attacks

  • They have a basic projectile primary attack which allows them to launch a Magic Missile, dealing damage to the receiver. As an. ultimate this turns into an ice missile with added first effects.
  • Their second primary attack deploys lightning with Electrocute and can deal an increased amount of damage which increases even more when the ultimate ability is charged for use.

Wizard Lore

Wizards in Diablo Games: :"Magic-users hail from academies throughout Sanctuary – from Xiansai to Caldeum – bearing monikers like "sorcerer" and "mage," but those who would refer to themselves with the derogatory epithet "wizard" are as similar to their fellow spellcasters as a lion is to a kitten. Wizards and sorcerers both wield the hidden mysteries of the arcane; there, the commonalities end.

Wizards are known for a number of qualities: not only rebelliousness and flair, but also disdain for the endless lessons and prattling about caution and safety that echo from academic schools of magic. Wizards’ superior attitudes seem to stem from their natural talent – their ability to wrestle the ambient force of magic into submission and direct it to their ends by will and instinct. Any accidents that might occur due to their lack of finesse are unfortunate…but that rarely stops wizards from indulging in their unstable power.

If they can only master their double-edged gift and avoid destroying themselves, these upstart arcane prodigies may be able to finally reach the destiny that they see on the horizon."

Wizard Strengths and Weaknesses

  • The wizard is fun and and unique, controlling a variety of different elements and attack types that encompass both AoE and single target attack. Their uniqueness makes them a good asset to a team combination, and their skills were made to control the flow of combat, which works well in both solo play and team play.
  • Weaknesses: When using this class, the Wizard can be hard to play if the user is not aware of the effects of their skills. A lot of things just need to be in the right place with little room for error since the wizard can be quite vulnerable. Users should know how to optimize their skill set, when to use a particular skill and when to save it to prevent a cooldown period at the wrong time. Positioning of the wizard is also important to be aware of since their combat relies on good positioning. Although they bring a unique set of features and magic to a team as an asset on their own, the wizard itself does not have a lot of buff to share to other team members.
