Ancient Nightmare is a Zone Event in Diablo Immortal. Zone events are occurances that can be encountered in the different Locations and Zones of Diablo Immortal. These encounters reward players with additional drops such as equipment and Enchanted Dust when participating in an event. They can be randomly encountered or triggered by an interaction. Depending on the event, they may have a set schedule and occur regularly within the Zone.
Ancient Nightmare Event Information for Diablo Immortal
- Event Location: Mount Zavain
- Event Conditions: Available every Wednesday and Friday at 12pm, 8:30pm and Friday at 12pm, 8:30pm and 10pm server time, the Ancient Nightmare will emerge to haunt Mount Zavain.

- The Ancient Nightmare is protected by shield, which causes damage to the nearby area.
- Activating the surrounding Altars will emit an aura of light, temporarily stunning and weakening the Ancient Nightmare's shield when in range.
- Consuming Zakarum Sigils will reset the restoration time of the Altars and cause significant damage to the Ancient Nightmare's shield.

Ancient Nightmare Event Walkthough
Every Wednesday and Friday at 12pm, 8:30pm and Friday at 12pm, 8:30pm and 10pm server time, the Ancient Nightmare will emerge to haunt Mount Zavain. The Ancient Nightmare is protected by shield, which causes damage to the nearby area.
Activating the surrounding Altars will emit an aura of light, temporarily stunning and weakening the Ancient Nightmare's shield when in range. Consuming Zakarum Sigils will reset the restoration time of the Altars and cause significant damage to the Ancient Nightmare's shield.
The over page will also display how many Zkarum Sigils you have acquired. When in Mount Zavain, the zone will notify you that the Ancient Nightmare has arrived and will give you an option to Travel there now. There will also be a percentage tracker of their shield located on your objective menu where your daily activities are. Should you choose to accept, you will be navigated to Misty Valley Waypoint. Approach the event area to receive the objective.
Find and Activate Altars to Weaken the Ancient Nightmare's Shield
You will need to activate these altars while fighting off the Ancient Nightmare and Destructive Nightmare. When they are in range it will notify you.
- The Ancient Nightmare is in the range of the altar's light. Attack now!
- The Ancient Nightmare's Shield has fallen. Attack now!
As you fight off the Nightmare bosses, you will be prompte to continue to attack until the Ancient Nightmare has been defeated. This will complete the event.
The Ancient nightmare tab will now have a countdown for the expected Reemergence.
